Creamy Chocolate Pudding

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 oz) can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • WHISK together sugar, cornstarch, salt, evaporated milk, water, cocoa powder and vanilla in a 2-quart saucepan, until smooth.
  • HEAT on medium until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Pour into serving bowl or individual serving cups, cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until served.
