Orange Sherbet

  • 1 can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar


  • Put evaporated milk into ice tray. Chill until crystals begin to form around edges.
  • Put ice cold milk into a cold 1 or 2-quart bowl. Whip with cold rotary beater by hand, or with electric beater at high speed, until fluffy.
  • Gradually add the remaining ingredients to milk and whip until stiff. Put mixture into a 1-quart ice tray and freeze, without stirring, at the coldest temperature until firm.
