Creamy Cheese Grits

  • 3 cup water
  • 1 (12 fl.oz.) can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup quick grits
  • 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste


  • BRING water and evaporated milk just to a boil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add grits. Cook according to package directions.
  • REMOVE pan from heat. Stir in cheddar cheese, cream cheese, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and salt until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
