Lemon Sherbet

  • 1 (12 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon lemon peel
  • 1 (12 oz.) can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup half-n-half
  • 4 to 5 drop yellow food color


  • COMBINE lemonade concentrate, sugar, salt and lemon peel in large bowl at low speed of electric mixer until the sugar is dissolved, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the evaporated milk, half-n-half and food color.
  • POUR the mixture into a frozen 1 1/2-quart freezer bowl from an ice cream maker.* Mix until thickened, about 20 to 25 minutes. The sherbet will have a soft, creamy texture. Transfer to an airtight container; freeze 4 hours or until firm.
